Almo ProAV and Biamp Systems Announce U.S. and Latin America Distribution Partnership for Devio Collaboration Solution

Almo ProAV and Biamp Systems today announced a distribution partnership that spans throughout The Americas. The new relationship is being supported by Almo Business Development Manager and audio expert Steve Alexander. As part of the new relationship, Biamp has joined the 2018 Almo E4 AV Tour, which begins in Washington, D.C. on March 6.

Effective immediately, the following Biamp products are available through Almo in the corresponding regions:

The trend toward open office environments and remote workspaces has increased the need for huddle spaces and other small conference areas that require unified communication (view Biamp’s blog post on Why Huddle Rooms Matter). As a result, the right audio support must be in place to ensure participants can hear and understand each other, reducing the potential for miscommunication.

“So many of our partners are working on huddle room installations and need a cost-effective, easy-to-use audio solution so it is critical that we are able to offer these solutions both in the U.S. and Latin America,” said Sam Taylor, executive vice president and COO for Almo Professional A/V. “Steve Alexander, Almo’s newest Business Development Manager, brings a broad background in audio technology and is working directly with Biamp to ensure partners are able to smoothly integrate these products into their existing and forthcoming huddle and conference room projects.”

Devio is a collaboration tool for modern workplaces, and is a natural extension of how people work every day. With a single USB connection, Devio connects your laptop instantly to the room’s displays (DisplayLink USB video requires driver installation and supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10), speakers, microphone and web camera, allowing meetings to get up and running quickly. The Devio microphone tracks and intelligently mixes conversations, allowing far-end conference participants to experience the conversation as it unfolds, while providing a real-time, collaborative experience.

Nexia digital signal processors support high quality distance conferencing, as well as the ability to distribute audio throughout multiple rooms. Nexia operates on regular Ethernet cabling using NexLink, a protocol created by Biamp to maximize clarity and speed over short distances. In addition, you can connect multiple Nexia units if an installation requires expansion at a future date.
