Key Digital’s new KD-HDMI2x4P and KD-HDMI2x8P can accommodate up to two HDMI inputs and distribute these signals into four (KD-HDMI2x4P) or eight (KD-HDMI2x8P) video outputs. Both switchers are HDMI 1.3 compliant with the capacity to handle all video signals from standard definition 480i to HD 1080p.
They support coaxial digital audio, optical digital audio (Toslink) and analog audio, and the Key Digital IAS circuit automatically senses and switches to the active video input. They’re controllable via RS-232 and the EDID control manages the HDMI communication for any output. They can also be cascaded to support up to 100 HDMI video displays.
The KD-HDMI2x4P and KD-HDMI2x8P have MSRPs of $825 and $2,000.
