Single-Channel 4K HDMI Capture
The Magewell Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 is a single-channel capture card for capturing HDMI video and audio in professional production and streaming workflows. This no-heat-sink variant uses an M.2 2280 Type M host interface with PCIe Gen3 x4 connectivity.
It supports HDMI 2.0 input up to 4096×2160 at 60fps, with video processing features for converting and scaling captured signals. The card is compatible with Windows and Linux systems and works with a range of DirectShow- and V4L2-compatible software.
4K HDMI Capture and Processing
The card captures HDMI signals up to 4096×2160 at 60fps and supports HDR10. It can also capture supported lower-resolution formats at higher frame rates, including 1920×1080p and 1280×720p at up to 120fps.
Video processing features include scaling, de-interlacing, colour format conversion and frame rate conversion. Custom output formats are also available through the Magewell Capture SDK.
Audio, Timing and Software Support
Embedded HDMI audio is supported at up to 8 channels, with 24-bit audio and a sample rate of up to 192kHz. Hardware clock timestamping supports audio and video synchronisation.
The card supports Windows DirectShow and audio APIs, as well as Linux V4L2 and ALSA. It is compatible with a range of capture, editing and streaming applications.
M.2 Installation
The Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 is built in the M.2 2280 standard size and connects to a compatible host through PCIe Gen3 x4. The HDMI connection uses the card's LVDS 20-pin interface with an LVDS-to-HDMI adapter.
This is the no-heat-sink variant of the card. Magewell also lists a compatible LVDS 20-pin cable and LVDS-to-HDMI adapter for the Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2.
