High-Density Modular IP Video Conversion
The Magewell Modator 2U is a rackmount chassis for Magewell IP encoder and decoder modules. It provides up to 10 hot-swappable slots, allowing installed modules to operate independently and convert audio and video signals to and from IP streams.
Designed for standard rack deployments, Modator 2U combines module and chassis status monitoring, browser-based configuration, redundant power supplies and centralised cooling. It is suitable for high-density IP video systems that require reliable operation.

Flexible Modular Deployment
Modator 2U accommodates up to 10 Magewell modules in a standard rackmount chassis. Modules can be freely combined and hot-swapped, with each installed module handling its own encoding or decoding function.
Current compatible modules include Pro Convert HDMI Plus, Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus and Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI.
Monitoring and Management
The LED touchscreen displays chassis and module status, connection information, logs and error notifications. Network information can also be viewed and edited from the touchscreen.
The browser-based Web UI provides chassis and module status information, configuration and management, with HTTP APIs available for integration.
