Flexible 4K Streaming and Recording

The Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI Plus is a versatile hardware encoder for streaming and recording HDMI video. It supports video input up to 4K at 30fps, with H.264 or H.265 encoding and simultaneous main and sub streams.

With support for popular streaming platforms and protocols, local and network recording, and browser-based control, Ultra Encode HDMI Plus can suit live events, corporate communications, education and other video production workflows. Its HDMI loop-through, line-level audio connections and network options make it straightforward to integrate with existing equipment.

Flexible Streaming Workflows

Ultra Encode HDMI Plus supports streaming to services including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, WOWZA and ZIXI, as well as protocols such as RTMP/RTMPS, SRT, RTSP, HLS and NDI HX. Multiple destinations can be configured, with the available number of simultaneous sessions depending on the protocol used.

Dual-stream encoding lets you configure a main stream and a sub stream for different delivery needs. Encoding settings include video resolution, frame rate and bitrate, alongside audio stream and channel mapping.

Recording and Remote Management

Recordings can be saved to the encoder’s 128GB local storage, an external USB storage device or network-attached storage using NFS or CIFS. Files can be saved in MP4, MOV or TS format, with options including scheduled and loop recording.

The browser-based Web UI provides access to device status, video preview, encoding settings, streaming and recording controls, overlays and recorded files. The device also supports APIs for third-party control systems and registration with Magewell Control Hub.
