The Magewell USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro is a one-channel HDMI capture device for recording, streaming and other video workflows. It supports capture up to 4096×2160 at 60fps with 4:4:4 colour fidelity when connected to a host with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connectivity.

With HDMI loop-through, embedded HDMI audio support and a 3.5mm audio input and headphone output, the device brings video capture and monitoring together in a compact interface. Driver-free setup and broad software compatibility make it suitable for live production, presentations, conferencing and other professional applications.

High-Resolution HDMI Capture

When connected to a host with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 connectivity, USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro can capture HDMI signals up to 4096×2160 at 60fps with 4:4:4 chroma fidelity. Capture performance depends on the USB connection and operating system; lower-bandwidth connections support different resolutions, frame rates and colour formats.

For compatible software, the device can also capture 10-bit HDR sources through the Magewell SDK. HDR capture requires software that directly supports this device feature.

Loop-Through and Audio Connections

The HDMI loop-through sends the input signal to a monitor or projector while the device captures it over USB, without requiring a separate splitter. Embedded HDMI audio is supported alongside a 3.5mm audio input and stereo headphone output.

These connections allow the device to fit into workflows that need local video monitoring and audio capture alongside computer-based production or streaming.
