Overview

The Magewell Pro Convert SDI TX is a compact, single-channel hardware encoder that converts an SD/HD/3G-SDI video signal, including embedded audio, into a Full NDI stream for delivery over a standard Ethernet network. It accepts SDI input up to 2048x1080 at 60fps and outputs NDI High Bandwidth at up to the same resolution and frame rate, with 16-channel embedded audio support.

The Magewell Pro Convert SDI TX is a compact 3G-SDI-to-NDI® transmitter designed for on-camera and space-constrained mounting. It is ideal for adding wireless-style IP delivery to SDI cameras and sources.

Does it support 4K?

No. It supports up to 2048 x 1080 60fps. For 4K SDI, see the Pro Convert SDI 4K Plus or 12G SDI 4K Plus.

How does it compare with the Pro Convert SDI Plus?

Both convert 3G-SDI up to 2048 x 1080 60fps into Full NDI. The TX is built small for back-of-camera mounting, while the SDI Plus features SDI loop-through, 16-channel audio and PoE.
