Compact All-in-One Live Production

The Magewell Director One is a portable live production system for video switching, graphics, recording and streaming. It combines HDMI, USB and IP video inputs, production tools, network connectivity and an integrated touchscreen in one compact device.

With support for cameras, media files, webpages and live network sources, Director One gives production teams the flexibility to create and manage multi-scene shows. It is suited to live events, sports, education, corporate presentations, houses of worship and mobile production.

Flexible Video Inputs

Director One supports HDMI and USB AV devices, IP streams, mobile cameras, media files, webpages, text and colour sources. It can add up to three live IP sources to a show, including NDI, SRT, RTMP and RTSP streams.

Multiple scenes and prebuilt multi-view layouts help operators combine sources and arrange productions for different shows.

Integrated Production Tools

Production tools include chroma keying, graphics, telestration and instant replay. Operators can add titles, lower thirds, scoreboard graphics and other visual elements to productions.

Scenes can be switched directly or previewed before switching, with instant cuts and effects including Fade, DIP and DVE.

Streaming and Recording

The integrated 4G modem, Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet provide flexible connectivity, while network bonding can combine connections for live production. Director One supports streaming via RTMP, SRT and NDI HX to up to two destinations simultaneously.

Productions can be recorded to an SD card or the built-in 64GB storage. ISO recording supports capturing the programme output or individual sources, and USB-C can be configured for UVC output to streaming software.
